A newbie homesteader ends up having more questions than they ever expected. No matter how much research they have done before they decided to live this crazy (and yet simple) lifestyle, there are so many questions they didn’t even know enough to ask that are now coming up. It can be enough to make you want to pull your hair out but never fear! There are plenty of free, credible sources of information out there that aren’t in it just to try and sell you something.

Homestead Dreamer has put together a list of sites she has gone to and used for years to help her with projects and getting the questions answered on everything from canning to dehydrating and gardening in between. All of the sites are free to view and give real world information and experience on pretty much anything a homesteader (newbie or otherwise) could ever need to know.

As always, use common sense and your own sound judgement when surfing around. Be wary of any sites that require you to sign up to get the information. That is a sure-fire way to get spammed! Newsletter subscription popups are different, you can just close those. When reading new sites, if it seems like something is off, trust your instinct!
