I know exactly where we could use this. The only issue is that you then lose that wall space where the door rests when open. We have a large master bathroom that is open to the bedroom and we’d love to be able to close it off for more warmth and privacy. They have quite the selection, which got me thinking on other things we could do to make our bathroom a lot nicer. That’s how these things start! I can’t wait to see the end result as I’m envisioning it now. We might just have to make a few more posts on our process as we go along.
I can only imagine the price difference between having a carpenter come and install a true pocket door versus creating one of these outside mounted designs yourself. It has to be pretty significant. Grab the tutorial here and see what parts are used…
